I was that poster.
Here is a quote from the TST operation manual.

I do not have the software to convert a PDF to text so I took a screen shot.
If anyone wants to take the time to do a simple test as I had previously described they will learn what I said is true.
Next time you are in a campground and go to dinner leave the TST system on. Then when you are at a restaurant or what ever in about one hour you will get the loss of signal alarm. But from the time you leave the campground for 1 hour or more you will have what appears to be valid pressures for the trailer even though you may be 5 miles or more from the trailer.
What page of your TST manual did you find that on? I dug out my manual and it doesn't seem to be in there.
And you're right, we did your test today. We set up the sensors on the MH (by the book) and drove into town for the day. Even though we were far out of range, all the proper readings showed on the monitor for nearly an hour.
We didn't hear our first beep until 56 minutes and at that time one of the readings went blank. All of the others were lost individually until the last one beeped and blanked out an hour and two minutes after leaving the driveway.
An hour is a long time to not know your safety equipment isn't working. I'd sure like to know sooner than that.
Hopefully Mike from TST is right and a repeater would resolve the issue. But it makes me wonder how many people are out there thinking everything is working okay and that they don't need a repeater because they are getting a reading.
Those readings could have been from five minutes ago....or they could have been from an hour ago. Alot can change in a hour, as the OP found out.
And I do wonder if this is common to all brands of TPMS systems. I might contact TireMinder for information. We met the owners when we were all staying at the same hotel last year. Really NICE people.
