I found that a nearby GPS can interfere with reception from the TST tire sensors. I noticed a couple of years ago after starting up one morning that 7 of the 8 tires were doing their normal pressure/temperature rampup while one of them never changed its reading. If I had a flat on that tire it would not have been reported. I solved the problem by switching to an external antenna (not a repeater) on the TST receiver, separated from the GPS by a few feet.
I've read that things like GPS and wireless thermometers (like many of us use in RV fridges) can interfere with the sensors. Our TPMS is attached to the driver's side window, away from the GPS for that reason.
I like the idea of adding an external antenna.
