Do some of you actually tell other campers to turn off their awning or porch lights at night because it bothers you? That would get a big "go away" from me if that were to happen.

And if I could change font size I would have made that large, very LARGE! - myredracerExplorer IIWe've got factory LED lighting in our awning and it is really bright after sunset. Shines towards our unit so you don't see much direct glare. Have gotten lots of compliments. We don't leave it on after around 10pm or so.
Someone told me about something called a "vampire" that plugs into the socket and has a photocell. He thought is was from Eco-lite. Couldn't find it though. Anyone know this one? It would be nice if there was one with a time-switch built into it.
I like the looks of an RV with all the running lights on after dark. If people find they are bothering them, what do they do about the sunshine early in the morning? That's way worse. We're going to get some blackout shades for that and if we happen to have neighbors with running lights on all night, that's okay. - pappcamExplorerAnd another thread deteriorates into miserable complaining again. Only a moron would threaten violence/vadalism over lights. - BombfixerExplorerOur unit motto in Viet Nam was Payback is a Medi-Evac. Disturb me and wake up to flat tires the next morning. Just sayin.
- buckyExplorer IIOur windows have blinds, and our eyes have lids. Have fun with your lights. Unless they are strobes they don't bother me. Noise on the other hand......
- JohnG3Explorer IIFound a device on Ebay that is a photo cell and motion detector (about $20 including shipping). I have a "project box" from Radio Shack that I installed an extra tow vehicle plug. The 3/4 terminals are jumped and the photo cell/motion sensor are mounted outside the pin box. After setting up I just plug the cord from the trailer into the project box and at night the lights come on for a short while, then if anyone/thing activates the motion sensor the lights come on for a few minutes then automatically shut off.
