TV Interference

I have my bedroom tv hooked up to the wiring for my outside antenna. When the heater come on there is a lot of interference. Anyone had this problem.

  • Is it just the bedroom TV? If so the problem might be in the TV, low shielding for interference.

I can not improve on the advice above.

Your outside antenna (if Winegard or Jack) runs on DC, low voltage can bother it, as it can the TV.

But dirty brushes make radio hash, Take an AM radio and hold it near the furnace motor when it's running, you will hear what I mean.

Also the Direct Spark Ignition, will mess it up, but that should clear within 4 seconds.
  • Find every connection and tighten them to start. Is your television running on DC or AC?
  • dirty brushes on the heater/furnace blower motor
do you have a battery connected ?
a good battery can filter this kind of noise, by absorbing it
