Type of cables to use for connecting 6v batteries?

Hi, I just picked up four 6 volt batteries that I'm going to connect in series/parallel. I need to pick up some cables to connect them with and I'm curious about what type to get. I also will need to ...

You certainly don't need large cable for charging devices, but you may, depending on what the appliances are. It's always good to know exactly what it is you'll be running.
