Wow, time2roll, that is a good thought -- maybe sheet metal is more durable, but if something goes wrong (road hazard, blowout, etc.), that sheet metal becomes a loose cannon, tearing up all the underbelly fixtures!

Coroplast will do a lot less damage if it comes unglued!
