Here’s what everyone always seems to miss: these ARE the good old days of cheap gas!
According to inflation calculators, $2.60 today is 40¢ in 1970, 30¢ in 1960.
Gas is almost as cheap now as it was in those old days when everyone thinks it was free to drive around at 10 mpg.
Remember, economy cars started getting popular way back in the early ‘60s when gas was supposedly so cheap. That’s because, it wasn’t.
