- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerWith alcohol the grades should be labeled
IRREGULAR
MEDIOCRE
EXPENSIVE - My vehicle says to use unleaded. What is wrong with using that word to sell the product?
It is after all without tetraethyl lead. - 2oldmanExplorer II

I look at quite a few but this one seemed to stand out.
Most of the signs are the same way, Unleaded, Mid and Super - GordonThreeExplorerAround here "regular" means leaded gas, even though no one sells it anymore, and hasn't for a long time.

did you read my reply above?
So "Unleaded" could indeed be a lower grade/octane. So I still don't see anything noticeable. - fj12ryderExplorer III

It very likely could be that "Unleaded" on the sign is 85-87 octane, "Mid-Grade" is 89 octane, and "Premium" is 92 octane. That's the way it's priced around here. So "Unleaded" could indeed be a lower grade/octane. So I still don't see anything noticeable.jmckelvy wrote:
Correct.
It's all unleaded. Perhaps should say Regular instead of unleaded?
That sign implies that 'unleaded' means a lower grade. You are right, all gasoline is unleaded. It's the octane rating that makes gas "mid-grade" and "premium".
It's just gasoline. That's in Pahrump NV. - Campfire_TimeExplorer

Good to see only a 30 cent differential between low and high test. Around here it's 60 to 70 cent difference.
That's what I was noticing. - 2oldmanExplorer II
