Very good point. When researching extended warranties I found that the fine print required annual maintenance on fridge, water heater, A/C and other components that run several hundred dollars annually or warranty would be disallowed.
As someone who deals with both Dometic AND various ESC companies, I have never had a Appliance repair denied because any supposed annual maintenance was not done. The ONLY thing ESC companies are concerned with is the regular maintenance on the Chassis components. IF they send an adjuster out for a Coach problem, the adjuster checks and verifies that ALL chassis fluid levels are correct. They may ask for records on the chassis maintenance for the ESC records, but I have never had to produce any records for coach systems. Now, if the appliance failed or does not work due to lack of maintenance, then they will deny it. You can do your own maintenance, but insects/debris and such will be a basis for a denial of a claim.
