Maybe Mr Ranier could offer some additional info as to whether this unit has security Torx screws for the cabinet cover. Security Torx have a pin in the middle of the star shaped hole.
Factory approved appliance service centers have tools equipment and knowledge to deal with control and magnetron malfunction. Other than tricloroethylene I know of no alternative to flush conductive coatings off of high voltage parts. Living near the tropic ocean I have run into this problem with Pabasonic, Sharp, and LG.
There are TWO fuses not one in these units. Usually a 10 or 15 amp for power and a 5 for control board.
Forget Chetumal QR for fast service. Use Cancun. Tapachula Chiapas has a service outlet. I do not know about San Cristobal de Las Casas. Acapulco has five service centers and Villahermosa three.
Hope this helps.
