Upgrading hydraulic landing gear

I have been having a problem with the cylinders on the landing gear of my Keystone Cambridge. They have both been replaced. When I get a full load and the fresh water tank is full for dry camping, the hydraulic cylinders will not pick the RV up to hitch back up to the truck. I would like to go to larger cylinders to be able to pick up the extra weight of water and supplies. I am under the impresion that the cylinders are the bare minaminum the manufactor can put on. Perhaps I am wrong but it seems that they will try to get by as cheap as they can with the tires and things that we don't see when purchasing a RV. Any idea's on going to a larger ram?

Thanks
Clayton

  • I have had one cylinder replaced twice and the other one replaced once. I have never upgraded to anything different. I have one cylinder leaking now and need to replace or repair. I believe they are Lippert but am not sure.

  • Over the years, I have had 2 5th wheels with your problem and YES, the factory sent larger front landing gear cylinders. Have you tried to work with Keystone on the problem? Doug
