upgrading power converter
My power converter has apparently bit the dust, lights flickering for past couple of years now no charge to batteries... Anyhoo, we do a lot of dry camping, where we need to daily boost the batteries...

My OE converter was a WFCO 55a unit that never went into boost mode. It would take 6-8 hours to get back to 90% on the OE wiring and 2 groups 24s on the tongue about 20-25' of wire away.
Last summer I replaced the WFCO with a plug n play PD4655 and my 50-90 time dropped to 4 hours without touching the wiring.
If you do not plan to upgrade the wiring then I would go with the PD4655, as it is a plug n play upgrade for many OE converters.
If you do upgrade the wiring I would go with the PD9280, and size the wiring accordingly. Or another brand of 80a converter.
