Good that you reported the 118v input as that affects the PD (and other converters' results) I wouldn't worry about the 10 gauge converter to DC panel as it is short and you are getting that 56amps perfectly so no point in changing anything there.
If you note the starting SOC estimate and the time it took to reach the 14.4 threshold, then we can get the SOC for when it starts to taper and compare that with the usual for that charging rate.
56/300 is 18.7% charging rate or about the same as 41a on 220AH on my ugly graph. Tapering starts approx 78% SOC so I expect your constant amps time would be for the 50-78 = 28% of 300 = 84AH at 56a = 1.5 hours then taper for approx another 1.5 hrs so it might take 3 hrs to do your 50-90 but we'll see. Your batteries may act a bit different.
