Our Komfort trailer has another set of fuses for the 7-pin one for each wire, but some RVs don't have that.
With ours, the 7-pin cord terminates behind the kingpin (it's a 5er) and there is a 40a glass fuse there for pin #4 charging wire from the 7-pin. Various othe size amp fuse are there for the other wires too. That then goes on other wiring to the battery and another 40a fuse on a wire that goes to the converter/DC panel.
I gather you have found the battery-converter fuses/CBs ok and the converter works. If you shorted the 7-pin, then on ours anyway, that would blow the 7-pin fuses up by the kingpin and maybe not the fuses downstream at the battery.
