Don't need stinkin' batteries R.J. A bedroll, saddle to lay your head up against, an enamel coffee pot. Some grounds, firewood, salt pork and beans. A pinch of salt with the boiling grounds, some crick water to settle them, When the sun goes down, go with it. Up with the chickens.
