I finally figured out one for myself and now I don't do hardly any battery maintenance. I just check amps/volts occasionally to make sure the converter is still working. I haven't messed with the batts since I found that loose wire. The Iota does perform a nice function and it's the occasional 14.7V stirring. Tall batts like mine need that to keep from stratifying. You guys don't really need that. I would set bulk/absorb at 14.8 or .9V. Check SG at the end of the week. If it's like 97%-ish, perform a monthly equalize. IMO, the continuous charging from solar seems to keep the sulfation at bay but not away permanently. This will be your camping settings BTW.
So, what solar settings with my 200 watts of solar will best meet the 3 different listed charging recommendations for different charger types, do you all think?
