Since you have the Interstate in a hard-to-reach spot, are you inserting the hydrometer's dip tube fully into each cell? It may be that the SG in the top of each cell is not the average of the cell.
It's a bit early in the life cycle of my 6V's to come to any concrete conclusions about how charge rates are affecting capacity but the solar is outputting a float voltage of 13.8V and absorption is at 14.45V. This is with a temp compensated controller with ambient flirting with 0f, in storage. A monthly equalization is where I'm aiming, ATM. I would think that 15.3V and higher at hours long duration, daily, is going to lead to a lot of plate shedding. It may be that your use schedule with the Danfoss requires a higher float voltage and longevity may be impacted. Lots of pieces to this puzzle.
