The group 31 is a tight fit in the engine compartment. 4 of the cells should be easy to dip. The remaining two would be easier if my turkey baster hydrometer had a longer spout
I have to really be trying, to use 65 amp hours a night. Average is half that much. I deliberately down sized from 2 27's as a house bank in a possibly futile attempt to meet minimum bulk currents from the solar where most of my recharging comes from.
I Don't have the height for GC's
I'm not scared to use some amp hours from the 90a/h AGM battery if I run short on capacity, I just wont do it/keep it in parallel with the flooded.
Longer days will help out.
Since I can now easily dip the flooded, I'll play with the solar settings, see if the SG just keeps dropping and dropping even if fed a 15.3v finish.
