Generally an automatic bi-directional relay will fail open and cause no cross issues with either system. Chances of a house battery fault and isolator fault at the same time is just not going to happen.
OK 500w solar might be a bit much for a B. However plenty of truck campers find space for 100 to 200 watts. May seem small compared to a 200+ amp alternator but the solar works anytime the sun is shining. The time adds up.
