I always hear of various loads on our RV's so I wanted to know exactly what mine are. It may also be of use to other newer RVers like myself. Wonder what is drawing the 0.5 amps when the frig is turned off? When mine is off, it doesn't draw anything.

I get 0.3 draw with fridge on but no ignition at the time where the 0.3 also includes various standing draws. The fridge propane burner adds 0.5a when on so the draw jumps to 0.8a

I dont know all the frig by any means, just often hear people say they all draw about .5 Mine does .5 and my total draw sitting there is .7 so thats frig and stereo. Measured separately they total .6 but together I think the meter just tips over to .71/100 is splitting hairs but those .5's add up quick. Until I have solar it all equals generator time for me. It was interesting to read somewhere on here that gen run time equals about $2.00 a kwh vs our home rate of .12 kwhEnergy company has the economy of scale by far.

I have one of these that does up to 10 amps. It can replace one fuse at a time but I used it with some alligator clip jumper leads between ground and the negative cable

No Pilot light. I have to hold down a gas button & push an ignitor which sparks. Then hold the gas button down for another minute or so.

I "Googled" " Dometic RM2310". The second hit is the manual for the RM2310: bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/operating/rm2310.pdf

It shows ignitor and gas valve.

The Dometic RM2310 does not have a PC board, electric ignitor, or electric gas valve. It uses a manual ignitor, similar to a common RV cooktop, and the thermostat controls the propane flow directly. When operating on 120 volts, the mechanical thermostat switches the heating element.

Actually, your refrigerator DOES use a small amount of 12 VDC when on propane or 120 VAC as heat source.

When on propane, 12 VDC powers the PC board, ignitor and gas valve. When on 120 VAC, 12 VDC powers the PC board.

My 1997 rv's fridge, Dometic RM2310, draws 0 even in use. It has no display and does not auto switch. As I boondock a lto that is important to me.

I checked all my draws when I installed the Trimetric RV meter.

My fridge doesn't draw anything when off, and only ~0.2 when on but not cooling.

My furnace will hit 7, and the water pump is 6.

Static draw is 0.4.
