Voltage divider SOLVED
Would this work? I have a 1 mil CP, 6 volt spotlight bulb. Will a simple voltage divider using a couple of 100 ohm resisters work from my 12 volt lighter recept. in the dash? Here is a better diagr...

They have a replacement battery for it, in fact, they have options.
55 watts at six volts is 9.1 amps (rounded) so you would need about .769 ohms at 60 watts and you might well burn your hand on that resistor. I would go to Batteries Plus for a new battery.
Also, six volt AGM batteries are used in kiddie cars (Like the barbie Jeep) and so on.. You may find a suitable battery at Wal*mart et-al either in the toys isle or in the automotive battery section Sometimes they even have decent (NON-AGM) prices.
