The terminals are 2 gauge so it's not too big of a reduction.

I'll trim some off in a bit and check but I am pretty sure it's solid copper.

This is just a case that overkill cost less than under kill. 2 gauge would cause more voltage drop and cost more. This also leaves me more options as to where to put the controller, a few more feet to the battery wont be a big issue. At worse I may have to have a foot of 2 gauge coming out of the controller and into a block.

Thank you, I saved the site. This would be the easiest way I think or just making my own out of copper pipe and reducing it. Lots of options.
It seems the spring storms have broken and we may get a week of decent weather for me to work on the trailer. It comes home Friday and the system and A/C will get a good test in 96 degree weather.
