MEXICOWANDERER
Oct 28, 2017Explorer
BOXES are meant to put electrical and electronics into (ventilated). I cheated and didn't mention I also want NEMA 4 for chargers, like, for Jesus. Put a handle on it. Fan inside. Power supplies, relays, inside.
Swearto budda, Mexican electricians position cutouts for receptacles and toggle switches because they don't want to bend over. Similar philosophy as putting speed bumps in the shade of a tree because they don't want to do it in the hot sun.
The lamp base in the kitchen is on a wall. Funny huh? Someone measured and took great care to position it to cast a shadow across the stove and kitchen sink when standing in front of them. THIMK?. Yeah, the light's switch is in the geographic center of the wall. Enter dark kitchen and braille one's way to the switch. Open the bathroom door and the switch is hidden behind the door. Ooooo the small bathroom has 2 lamp sockets the huge kitchen has one. Single bedroom light is perfectly positioned for shining over top a book in bed.
This AIN'T my house. No buying concrete circular saws no troughing of wires. Wireless switches and transmitters. Running up of zip cord in room corners. And it all gets removed when I move out. My bed reading light is behind my head double sided taped to the wall.
Why didn't I bring Quicksilver? Local RV park, the ONLY RV park - 630 pesos per day no monthly discount. This house? 100 pesos a day, and is not located in the boiler factory commercial district. It also has 122 volts not 94. All for the quest of multiple health operations. Like a million + pesos worth done for MediCare in the USA.
So NEMA boxes are called for. Wotta hoot. A plastic box filled with useless-to-me un-needed garbage costs less than an empty one. Plywood, glue and screws time :(
Footing wall runners are lengths of 2x2 with trough made by seller's circular table saw. When In Rome...
