- wa8yxmExplorer IIIFrom all I hear they are good batteries but I usually give 75 as a typical G-24 battery, 80 is close enough to not worry about the difference.
What makes a battery Superior in my book is birthdays.. Or rather anniversary of installation days. NOTE that this depends on several things not just the battery, but also the care and feeding. (Owner, converter).
But if you get a battery that with proper care and feeding only lasts say 4 years (or less) that is a BAD BATTERY and I would look for a better brand.
If, when it dies, you find it is a rebellous teenager... GET MORE OF THAT BRAND.
Average for decent batteries is 7-10, mine went 9. (Interstate) and I do not yet know how my long my Deka's will last (Check back in a decade, I put 'em in this last spring). - wolfe10ExplorerYup, well known in boating circles for many decades that Rolls batteries are.... well.. the Rolls Royces of wet cell batteries.

look how low the CCA rating is!! Not really designed as a starting battery. Shows they are trading of CCA for something.
The CCA rating on the delco's in my silverado is about 800A. - BumpyroadExplorerOH, OH, specs show cold cranking amps. Must be an inferior not real Deep Cycle, or so I read here. :)
