Want to run rear analog tv off hdmi cable signal

I am converting from an older Dish setup to a DirecTV HD44 Genie receiver. Problem is my rear TV is an older (2003) model and only has coaxial input. The DirecTV C41 "box" for a remote tv has only an HDMI output to TV. I don't care about the rear TV having HD, only the front one. Is there a way I can convert the HDMI cable to coax my old tv can use? The system can send non-hd channels ok.

  • Thanks for the help. I think a new TV is the answer. Less than $150 and easy to put in. Bruce

OP, do a search on HDMI cable to Coax and see what turn up. I had a great link, and then couldn't find it any more. Somehow, it did not copy-paste right. sorry. :(

That's because there's no url in there.

Well, other than that it was a big help to the OP, I'm sure.
