Water Heater

We need to fill up our TC with water Wednesday night for a cross country trip. Question is overnight lows will be in the low twenty high teen range and i am concerned about things freezing up. Inside will be heated so i am not worried about the water lines, water tank, camode etc. I am however concerned about the WH,will it be ok or should i try to insulate it from the outside? All suggestions/thoughts appreciated.

  • If it stays in the twenties for most of the night, fill your water tank and shut off the city water connection. Use the water pump overnight.
  • It should be fine. Gallons of water don't readily freeze. If it still worries you, a real easy fix is to turn it on.
