Water Pump Replacement?

Question

Need to replace my ShurFlo 5.7 gpm water pump. Have replaced 4 of these over the last 6 years. ShurFlo does not make this pump any longer, too many problems.

For those of you who have replaced your water pumps, what brand and model number have you used and how long have they lasted?

Would like a high flow rate, highest I can find now is 4.5 gpm. Looking at the FloJet pumps, anyone out there have good luck with their pumps?

Would like a pump that last longer than a year or two.

I replaced my old Shur-Flo with an AquaTech AquaJet RV Pump works great Many years ago Never a problem.

Too bad the 5.7 was so problem prone. I've had one for ten years and it still works great but I wouldn't buy another one even if I could find one. Just too many problems reported.
Seems like someone on here reported that FloJet's were very loud. Maybe someone that has one can comment.

We have the Shurflo 4.0. Had to replace it a few years ago (warranty replacement) and it has worked fine since.
Why do you want a high flow pump? If you buy a variable speed pump be aware that one can have too large a capacity pump so that it never gets `up to speed' if the demand is too low. Ideally the flow rate should match the actual requirements.

I replaced my pump last year with a Flojet Sensor VSD.  I've been very happy with it.  It's MUCH quieter, runs only at the speed it needs to, and doesn't shake the lines like the OEM pump.  I'd recommend it.

RV pumpI haven't used them but seems its all they do. I would think they have good experience in this area.
