Water pump switch question

I am in the process of installing the SeeLevel tank monitering system. I bought the monitor that has the water pump switch and the water heater switch.
My current system uses an Intellitec Mpx Low Side 10 amp Latching controller to make the 3 momentary switches "push on push off both same direction" work.
The SeeLevel switch is not a momentary switch it is an on off switch. Will this work with pump controller with no problems?
  • OK,
Took a look at the SeeLevel panel and switch set up and I won't be able to change it out to a momentary switch. I will be contacting Garnet that makes the SeeLeval and see what they tell me. Maybe I have to return the monitor panel I bought and get one without the water pump switch and wire in a separate switch for the water pump. It would look so much cleaner if I can use this panel.
  • If you would like I can try to send you a picture of how I've done mine.

  • Dusty, that would be great. The old "picture is worth a thousand words" can be so true.

Not good at posting pictures. If someone could open this picture it would be great.
    My panel is 6-1/4" x 8-3/8" tall.
The generator control and hour meter is in the top 2-5/8" and the tank monitor is in the bottom part, which I cut off, then cut a new plate the same size that I cut off. Then I cut a hole in the new plate just smaller than the size of the control panel from Garnet, and mounted it in that hole.
The pump and water heater control switches are in the panel that I got from Garnet.

    Good Luck,
    Dusty

That picture is on your hard drive. You can't link to one on your computer, you have to post it to a server somewhere then link to it there. Go to this link, drag and drop the picture, it will give you a link. Post THAT link here.

  • The only panel that will work for you is the Garnet Model 709. Doug

PS The model 709-RVC-PM HAS the momentary pump switch.
  • I sent an email to Garnet the maker of the SeeLevel system and they said the following.

Thank you for contacting us about your SeeLeveL RV system.

You will need to have a momentary switch in place of the 3-way switch that is currently in there. You’ll have to cut the wires to the pump switch and pop it out and then put the momentary switch in it’s place. If you can’t find a momentary switch locally, we can provide one for you. We will just need you to pay the freight for the switch coming to you.

I am going to do what they recommend and I think my original momentary switch will work.
  • Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I was able to use the original momentary switch and works great and now with the SeeLevel guages installed I can see my tank levels that have not worked in years.
