Water Pump switches

I have 3 water pump switches inside my 2002 Monaco Windsor and none of them will turn on or even lock in for on or off position, Where do I look no and what do I do to get the water pump to work when not hooked up to water line?

  • Old Biscuit is on it. Those switches are momentary and simply tell the box he shows to put power to the pump which in turn has its own pressure switch.

There often is a light on the switch or nearby to indicate the pump is on.
  • Sounds like your 'pump controller' has failed.

    Looks like this.........

    Intellitec Latching Controller
The Monoplex water pump control is packaged in a plastic enclosure for mounting near the water pump using two flat head screws. The water pump controller is capable of operating multiple switch points and up to two LED power indicators may be used all on the single wire. Power to the water pump controller can be supplied from either the battery or the converter.
  • I would start with bringing alternate power from your battery that you know has 12 volts directly to your water pump. If that works, then you should check the positive side only with your alternate power, then the negative side only with your switches on. That will determine if it's the power going out, or going back from the pump. If the pump does not work with both wires connected to your alternate power and you know your power works because you have tested it with a light, the pump might be shot.

Those are the easiest checks to make without a doubt, so start there and let us know what you find.
