That happened to me on one trip and I picked up a standard hose adpater from local hardware store with shut off switch on it similar to what was shown in the above post. Note the City water outlet on the trailer side is a MALE connection. Solved my probem of having water squirt out the City water connection when the pump was on.
I fixed my VALVE later by pushing it IN from the outside and letting it reseal again. Apparantly it had some debris in it. Has worked OK ever since...
Now my standard water adapter is part of my emergency fix tool box for PLAN Bs.
A water hose with a sprayer spigot on it will work in a pinch as well. Will need a MALE to FEMALE Adapter to work with a standard water hose connection. Most of us carry a water hose and sprayer to clean up things around the camp site or maybe squirt a squirrel of something...
