Welding on TT

I am wanting to do some welding on my TT (2012 crossroads) and I was wondering if I need to unhook the battery before doing so. Also is there any other precautions needed to protect the elec./comp. systems

Thanks, Joe

There are a lot of things to be careful about when welding on a trailer. First, check out the propane and keep away from it or any lines. Make sure you have a fire extinguisher around. Keep away from anything that burns. Disconnect the battery. Keep your ground close to your work, and don't let the current go through your bearings. Depending on what type of welding and where on the trailer you are doing it will determine what other precautions you may want to take. A fire blanket is always nice around other combustibles.
