I don't make assumptions, stuff that sounds quiet one day sounds louder the next day and the db hasn't changed, its why i use meters. that said i don't own a honda or yamaha, i have heard them in different environments but again it doesn't help if its not in the same place as the WEN.
I recently had to use the WEN, it ran 22 hours straight, and used less then 2.5 gallons of fuel. 0 issues, i love it, other then the screw issue to check the oil (which it burned non of during the 22 hours run) i have no issue with the unit.
i also ordered a replacement air filter (i wasn't happy with the way it sat in the housing) and service was quick and responsive. you can also see my review of that with pictures on amazon.
