Some people can knock off the surface charge (residual charge on the batteries when a charger is first disconnected) by turning on all the lights for some time and letting the voltage drop on the batteries. I don't do that because if you have a problem with the batts themselves you won't know.
We did some troubleshooting today and the batteries were charged and the WFCO seemed to be working. We think there may have been a bad connection in the wiring as when we went to inspect it the fan kicked on.
Anyway, after looking everything over, it appears our control panel (aka idiot meter) may be the culprit. The batteries were at 13.6V (14.6V when we got the WFCO kicked on) and the LED's showed low the entire time (and the charging LED never lit up).
