I wondered why I missed this. Flipping through my mental calendar I was on the road returning from arm and hand surgery. It completely fell through the cracks.
The donated WFCO I am getting has one single duty to act as a UPS for a Lifeline 31 AGM. The 13.2 volts float agrees with OEM float specifications. But 13.6 is pure hairball grade charging value. We do not have the luxury of 100.00% reliable power. Many times the power will fail for seven hours, return for two then go off again. I have 60 battery cells to babysit so saying pretty please to the WFCO isn't in the program. So getting power resistors and probing for the unit's voltage sense lead becomes important. I'll drag that sense lead down to 9.0 volts if I have to, in order to initiate boost. Loss of shore power will enable a 555 timer when power is restored and astable time a 10-second pulse switch through a resistor and drag that voltage down to the point where the WFCO says "uncle". The unit will have 18" 4AWG leads to the battery. If it isn't satisfied with that diet it had better like saying "Ah". Off comes the cover and off comes the gloves.
