WFCO Please Describe The Operational Malfunctions

Do some of the critters not even attempt to switch into "boost" mode despite starting out at say, 12.2 volts? Or is it a threshold issue, where unusually low voltage is needed to trigger the boost mod...

The WFCO unit needs to sense for yes/no boost mode at the load (battery) not its own output terminals. Needs to do this with a small sense wire from it's internal circuitry to the load. Thats how we did it in power supply design days.
