I emailed Lifeline asking for a typical charge acceptance profile at 80F at various state of charge percentages. Never got an answer. I used the 13.6 and the 14.4 values WFCO atates is used as voltage set points.
Guess I got too technical. Too close to asking what color underwear the CEO's wife wears...
The 31 is supposed-to have a flatter charge acceptance profile than a flooded unit of the same ampere hour capacity. OK, given a 30% DOD what is the charge acceptance value in amps when 13.6 volts is applied? I do not know WFCO design. Does the unit have the capability of delivering 55 amperes at 13.6 volts?
I do NOT want to have to end up re-inventing the wheel and be forced to do an intense babysitting charge conditioning cycle on this 31. At least minimize the frequency. I do not do well playing the part of "My Own Best Customer".
AGM's are not the easiest battery to diagnose and maintain. This one MUST last six years minimum without losing more than 10% total capacity. This is a bank account issue.
The kicker is I live in a place where bent rusty nails are straightened and resold. Radio shack is a dream. There are car stereo places. So basically I am on my own. If I do not get the stuff I need while in the states, well T.S. My desperation means my clever 555 + resistor circuit must be backed up with a push-button over-ride. I'd rather the push-button sit there and grin at me than actually having to employ it.
A bi-directional kWh meter would be so nice. Only they don't exist. At least not ones that I can afford.
