"I am not sure I could tell"
Said the arresting detective to the court -- NOT

"I'm not sure how to tell the condition of my batteries"

With all my cumulative experiences the best I could do with gauges rather than a hydrometer is give an educated guess at to the state of condition of a flooded lead acid battery.
A full on resistive load test would render a somewhat more accurate picture.
But a hydrometer spills all the dirty little secrets of a mistreated battery.
Why purposely force a battery to die because of intentional neglect? This I do not understand. "I'm too lazy to check the oil - means a new engine once in awhile, but what the hey"
