Without reading glasses I can't see the bobber's numbers either. But believe me, my weak eyes really respond to 4x diopter reading correction.

The bobber is graduated green / white / red for a reason and a sulfated battery reading is not subtle.

Using meter readings only reminds me of strapping a hearing aid on a blind person then have him slip behind the wheel.
