Well ok..
First thing I did this morning was check the SG... 1275 on the nose...
Yes I have solar... I had it set to 14.5 volts so in the morning it would start charging.. I lowered the solar to 13.2, and now the PD is taking over @ 13.6... The PD will switch to 13.2, but not sure how long it takes to do so..
So whats the moral? I never desulfated batts before and this was all new and a learning experience for me... I really couldn't of done this without a hydrometer...
Now will the batts work well enough when camping is the question...
Yes I think I will leave the camper plugged in during winter and batts on trailer... If there was a power failure the solar would just take over as I leave that plugged in when camper is in the driveway..
Edit... Actually I am throwing the batts on the charger for another 4 hours then I will be done.. I dont know if its the right thing to do or not... Ill see if the SG changes per my readings...
Im assuming you can only go so high with the SG..
Solar panel faces dead south...

Just an FYI here are the amps I was getting from the PD...

This was the hump I couldnt get over after fully charging batts so I though... It took all that charging on my sears charger to overcome this SG reading...

Here is my sears charger amps and volts..
2 amp setting 14.6 volts
10 amp setting 15.8 volts 2.78 amps
50 amp setting 16.4 volts 8.4 amps..
