Are WFCO converters a good choice ? As good as PROGRESSIVE DYNAMICS ?

I took my WFCO9855 apart and adjusted RV2 (controls output voltage) and adjusted it to 13.9V as sort of a compromise to the boost mode. I never left it hooked up for days on end to minimize boiling. I think +14V would be better?
