What are These Washers Called?

Look at the washers under the screw heads on this pressure valve.

Notice how they're stamped to cup the wire strands and keep them all in place for tightening. I salvaged some out of a junk Intermatic Timer (Gray Box Water Heater Timer) to use replacing the male plug on a 30-amp RV shore tie cable. It was successful but now that coach is gone and I want washers for the coach we have now.

If you can give me the correct industry-speak description, I can probably find or order some.

THANKS!!!

Actually, I post thinking somebody DOES know...

Thanks, Roy! Looks like one source on Amazon and maybe nobody's bought any. Wish I knew how many to the package.

All, I'll take this info to Big Box, Ace Hardware, etc. Might be able to get a few locally.

There's something close on Water Heater Thermostats, but I had really good luck on an RV shore tie cable by using those washers and swapping the screws to stainless. I'd worked on it a couple times, then did the washer/stainless thing and never had to go back to it again.

    Try this link from AMAZON...

"B&P Lamp Cup Washer For Ground Screw"

Don't know about the size but looks like what you are looking for...

    CUP WASHER

  • I think they are called "cup washers."
That's what I have always called them anyway.

  • Security cup, washers. Designed to thwart attempts to loosen then connect ring or fork terminals to the screw itself
