My Lazy Daze has factory 200 watt solar. It uses Heliotrope 22B controller. I upgraded to Lifeline GPL-6CT 300 amp hour 6 volts.
I swapped in cob style LEDs for all incandescent lamps. There are four double 15 watt F15T8 fluorescent fixtures. I substituted clear lenses and tri phosphor lamps to improve efficiency, allowing fewer of these fixtures to be lit. I use Macbook Air laptop powered by 12 volt power brick-.5 to 1 amp usually. The TV is 12 volt and Samlex 150 watt pure sine inverter (generally turned off)for DVD and other small loads. Furnace draws less than 3 amps. Smartphone charged w/ 12v adapter.
I bake in conventional oven and heat water on stove for coffee. No high power inverters or heavy amp draw. I'm at or below the maximum amp hour draw of 15 amps to get the 300 ah.
While the solar may not always break even, the batteries have held long enough that I'm on to my next destination. Even in stops enroute, the solar is charging away. My next steps will occur only if this setup proves inadequate for my use.
