I wonder what they do in situations like 8 days of overcast and rain like we had in Quartzite this year, when even the largest arrays were only able to manage 6 to 8 amps max, and then only at mid day.
Everyone in our area was having to supplement with their genny. Temps in the low 40s at night and mid 50s for the high.
I haven't run into that yet. Most was about 3 days overcast. My system is designed to be able to go just under 5 days with normal electrical usage (which isn't a lot for me) and no charging. Eight days would be a problem. But seeing something like that in the forecast, I would just conserve. Meaning, cut out the computer use and evening movies. And I'd read more. I always have a few books along.
