Mena, I honestly don't remember how you boondock. One thing I know - and all those threads confirm this if they bothered to measure at all - is that a big residential requires 80-100 AH a day. With this load added, to boondock without running a genny "any more than now" you would have to either add a lot of battery bank (or maybe you carry a lot already) AND limit your stay to a few days, or get a very substantial solar system.
Majority of people wanting or having a residential do not boondock. Of those who do, the majority are running generators and don't know much about solar or basics of battery charging. They would look at the OEM indicator on the wall and tell that there is some "capacity" left. A "capacity", no kidding.
If and when my LP craps out, I will replace it with a 12V compressor unit of the same 6 cu.ft size. Not with 10 or 15 cu.ft residential. Even though I have 500W solar. Because for a full-timer with no shore power a 10cf residential = generator.
