what is the diff between the P2 and the P3 brake controller?

Old-Biscuit's post is accurate. I have both (one in each vehicle). My wife can easily understand the P3 (its english with pictures) but never had an issue with just seeing numbers with the P2 (aka it worked so she didn't care).
The only thing i will say is I kind of like that when the trailer isn't connected my P2 is just a blank screen with a dot. The P3 is always lit up telling me it is there and ready if I connect a trailer.
The difference was ~$10 on Amazon so that is why I went with the P3 for the second vehicle. They can be swapped easily (same harness).
