What do I need for Roof sealing flat top?

I just had my rubber roof pressure washed and the Guy said "You should think about re-sealing before long".
Question 1------is Dicore self leveling good to go around the vents, antenna base etc.
Question 2--------What do I need to go on the vertical side corner seams?
Q3------I still have some (not a bunch)Eitherbond tape left over from a previous mishap but don't think I should use it for general sealing.
Q4-------Since the old self leveling Dicore is now clean I see no need to remove it.
Thanks for your opinions.

Dicor has both self-leveling and non-sagging sealant. If the sealant isn't cracking to the point of falling off all you need to do is reseal with the Dicor product.

  • Why would you pressure wash a rubber roof? Mild soap and soft brush...possibly.

#1: Yes. Or, a better choice: Geocel RV EPDM sealant. Cures faster, shrinks less and doesn't bubble as much as Dicor. The only (possible) drawback is that it cures fast, for those who do this on a hot day.

    #2: Don't remember, don't have this problem.

#3: Etherna tape needs a very good surface preparation. If the seam is still good, not very complicated spot where it could tear etc, and you think that sealant will hold - go with sealant.

#4: After power washer it is "sidewalk clean", not "adhesion work clean". I would go manually over each seam - immediately before applying Dicor - with a mild dish soap or rubbing alcohol (probably better since you won't have to rinse after). Don't overdo it with alcohol, it softens the sealant, let it dry a little.
