Yes, the timing is suspicious. BUT, I can state with 100 PERCENT fact that your Brake Control and its operation OR malfunction could NOT have caused any problem with anything else in the RV. The Brake control sends just a 12 volt signal thru the Truck to the RV and then goes to the BLUE wire in the 7 way Trailer connector on the RV. THAT blue wire goes direct to the Trailer Brake magnets. TOTALLY removed and separate from the 12 volt RV wiring and harness's. So, even if there was a short in the Brake control system, it would blow a fuse on the Truck. The Brake control system will NOT increase the voltage OR the amperage to the RV separate 12 volt systems. Now, to state "blue" wires. Those Furnace Blue wires (2) are only inside the furnace and are about 18 inches long each. They connect to the external wiring harness that goes to either a wall tstat, or more common---The Roof AC control board for the furnace connections. Now to your Pic. I see NOTHING that suggests heated or melted wires. I do see sloppy crimps on the various spade and Butt connections. Especially the Blue Spade crimp that does look like it melted, but it did not, just a sloppy crimp. Doug
