Thanks Mex, can do. Can you elaborate a little on how the uneven SGs operate (they won't equalize further--what you see is what you get)
What about among these two bad guys? Will the uneven SG one bring down the even one?
Do you mean don't ever pair them with other good batts? I normally parallel all the batts while camping to get max Peukert, but then separate them at home to do individual runs to 100%.
I could make the two 12s a private 2000w inverter battery bank and leave the four 6s to do the rest of the work. The two bad 12s do stand up well under load as shown the past few weeks trying them out. Rough AH tests show somewhere between 85-90% of 150AH rating as their capacities. Did a couple of 50-90s in a row and they acted like they should and came back up (as far as they can) at home so that all worked ok.
Also, after they are at 100% and go to a Float charge, are they ok to stay linked while being floated or is that bad? I get how they will ruin a new battery if linked but not being charged, just sitting there. Confusion about if they are all getting a steady 13.4 if that still happens.
