We often speak of percentage of charge
And going from 50% to 90%
Generator run time etc..
I think sometimes we should mention that the amount of charging and the amps charge rate varies greatly
50 to 90
For somebody with (2) batteries
Is a less than my 75% to 95% with (5) large AGM
40% of 220 amp hrs is 88 amp hrs to be returned
While 20% of 675 amp hrs is 135 amp hrs
And requires a longer time period If using the same charger
My chargers must be capable of more amps into the batteries
Percent SOC is a nice way of expressing a battery bank condition
But the actual amp hrs involved vary greatly with different RV Battery banks
Even comparing 2GC. To 6GC this all holds true
A larger number of amp hrs to be returned staring at a higher battery SOC
MEANS a greatly increased generator run time, unless you can double the charge rate
I can do 16% , go from 75% to 91% in 2.5hrs using a pd70
It takes a couple more hours to get to 95%
And all day to get to 100% and needs to use the power max adjustable set at 14.8v
