I believe my MegaWatt taps out at 15.6V. But my old manual 6 amp 12v Sears battery charger will do 16.3 if you let it. My observation on a Walmart group dc24 that I use with my 100w ham radio when portable, is that if the charger amp gauge drops from 6 amps down to 2 amps, the battery is fully charged, and I've probably hit 16.0 to 16.1V for a full equalization. I have confirmed this a few times now with the digital multi meter.
When I wanted a top charge for storage of the batteries, the T-1275 was left to charge at 15.0V for an hour or so after it reached that voltage. Just to let things get stirred up inside. It would bubble very lightly, but water consumption was never an issue with my T-1275s. Amperage at that voltage for the 150 Ah battery was probably in the 3 to 4 amp range when finished.
